Back to back from league two, promoted with two clubs who had Premier League squads, at least in part. It was always an impossibility to build a squad that could not only stay in the league, but to beat the likes of Bournemouth.

If we stay up this year, it will be an even bigger achievement than the double promotion was in the first place.
Talk of free hits is seen as defeatist by some, but this season is as close as you get…. No-one was expecting us to be in the Prem this season.
If we go down, we go down, but will have a year’s Prem money to further develop the squad.
Plenty of sides have gone up, down and up again before establishing themselves, given the budget we’re on relative to everyone else, we have faced an uphill battle from the start.
The challenge will be who replaces McK for next season, as I’ll be amazed if he’s still with us then. |  |

I disagree. I think he'd wander into a lot of big jobs because he's clearly great but the resources at Ipswich are clearly the limiting factor. Rightly or wrongly, that will be the perception.
I think he walks into any big job outside of champions league. |  |
