Wembley ticket priority 17:57 - Feb 9 with 1923 viewsbluelagos

Getting ahead of myself for sure, but if we made the Cup semi finals and a big day to Wembley am wondering how priority would work...

Specifically, would a Season ticket holder who doesn't ever go to away matches have priority over regular away fans who rarely get to Portman Rd?

Have spoken to fans at away games who struggle for tickets for Portman Rd but get to plenty of away games spending way more than a ST holder who doesn't.

Thoughts?

Every single season ticket holder would get a ticket easily.

Difficult one to gauge. APP versus ST. Suspect the first trance would be those who have both. It may then go to those who have stubs from the cup games - who knows

I'd hope/assume given that it's neutral, and the number of tickets available:

S/T Holders
Super Blues members (points-based)
General Sale

Maybe add an extra consideration for those who were at Bristol Rovers? All depends on the timescales, and how easily the club can run it.

Points, then ST holders for the semis certainly and everyone will get one who wants one.

Final might be harder.

A lot of season ticket holders would be in the Super Blues bracket as well, they’d probably do the points system first or maybe even those with the most FA games attended.

Everyone with some sort of membership/season ticket would be guaranteed a ticket IMO with how high the allocation is at Wembley.

Just googled and 30k last year so all should be sorted. (Final....presume more for the semi final)

European finals may be more of a dilemma mind.

As much as much as yesterday was a cracking away day, I’d take a couple
Of easy home draws now to Progress, and play the fringe players, nice little cup
Run would be brilliant, but keeping the first team out of it, to concentrate on the league.

A 30k allocation might make guaranteed tickets a little snug. I'd assume that there are about 4-5k non-ST members as a minimum, given the difficulty some have had in getting home tickets.

Definitely a ticket for ST holders and members with 10+ points, but those who've bought in this season might find it a bit of a challenge.

If the allocation for a Euro final was, for example, 20k I’m sure they’d looks at if you were a ST holder AND the points category for away games.

Teams like Liverpool with 45/50k STH, plus attending away games, god knows how they work out who gets the tickets

I seem to recall hearing somewhere that clubs with more STs than a Wembley allocation often prioritise tickets on the age of the ST.

That feels, to me, the most equitable way to do it for a neutral game, given that it's rather different to a typical away game.

Hmmm a dad could get to the final as he’s had the ST 20 years, but his son who he goes with weekly can’t as he’s only had it 6 years due to not being born…

Not sure that’s fair… but it’s not something I/we will ever need to worry about 😂

Would their points holders have to be ST holders anyway?

Just had a look for Liverpool in Paris a few years back they did season ticket holders who had been to at least seven champions league games from a set list (effectively meaning you had to do all homes and at least one away) to get top priority and then down from there.

Just looked at Bournemouth away for them and you needed to have done 18 aways last season to get a ticket for that.

So if you don't have a season ticket but go to every away game where do you sit, as you're going to as many games as a season ticket holder who doesn't go to away games. More if you go to a handful of home games as well.

78,000 corporate tickets and the clubs get 1,000 each. Def info.

I think it highlights that there's no system that would please everyone with a claim to enhanced priority.

You're right about away fans and, given that there'll only be about 3,000 of them (and even fewer who tick the boxes and aren't ST holders) at any PL club, I imagine you could take care of dedicated away fans who don't have season tickets.

Perhaps cap any membership scheme at about the highest likely allocation for this sort of match?
