he bought at the wrong time. He bought just as the financial requirements to get promotion were about to rocket. If he had picked and backed the correct manager initially he would have got us up. McCarthy football circa 2011 with the money he gave Keane and a little bit more and we might well have made it. However he picked and financially backed the wrong manager (Keane, Jewell) and didn't back the right manager later (McCarthy) and post McCarthy it was a shambles. Evans and his henchmen just did not have the footballing knowledge and astuteness to be successful. | | | |
