How are we all feeling about tomorrow then? 21:22 - Oct 24 with 1461 viewsunstableblue

Shame it’s a 12.30 kick-off.

Important game for the players, OShea and McKenna. And for the fans.

Can we start well? Get an early goal and fire up some home support.

I think we’ll have too much for this West Brom side, especially with the solidity of Matusiwa that we missed Tuesday.

But I do think the two losses can get into the players, and it’s down to them to find some fight. I don’t think the fans will be roaring them into action. The players will need to fire them up. And show more of the spirit of the Norwich performance.

2-0 Town, Szmodics first goal.

TBH I feel WBA are a better team than Charlton.

However the way I am looking at it. KMC will make 7 changes again, give or take. If the 1st eleven do not play well, get a result, struggle, then we will really know where we are at.

I have no hope nor expectations. Do I want a win, yes, do I want 3 points, yes. I will cheer the team from the start until the end. However, come the end of 90 minutes win, lose or draw I will carry on with my day. I have things to do, that need to be done this weekend, I have the rest of Saturday and all Sunday to get as much as I can done before I go back to work on Monday.

Others will debate, argue, put forward views and opinions on the manager, players, style, effort, etc etc. But there is nothing I can do about it. As they say the only constant is change.

Indifferent.

Quite like the early kick-offs. 6:30am for me. Footy and breakfast then got the rest of the day to be productive*

* could also mean lay on couch watching another championship game, then a prem game, then about 8 hours of college football.

Damn early kick offs.

Leaving earlier tomorrow than I will for QPR next week

Atmospheres at 12:30 games never that great.

Not sure what I’m expecting apart from some sort of reaction, early goal would be nice.

COYB!

It is important that the full strength side imposes their dominance and even more important that we get the win. Time to go on a winning run or slip well out of the promotion picture.

The atmosphere really won't help the players tomorrow, it'll be quiet and nervy, that Nodge game seems a long time ago now where it no doubt lifted the players, they'll have to lift the crowd tomorrow, praying West Brom don't score first..

Seasons turn on moments Sitters… that Akpom strike goes one rather than hitting bar, having followed what was a pretty good display to that point, and well we probably go on and win and we’re all sitting here crowing about the quality and depth of our squad.

Whereas we’re actually all a bit nervous and unsure of our teams character and quality.

Need a bit of luck, an early goal, and we should be OK.

I did say it might get worse before it gets better. And I think teams will have watched how Charlton prospered by coming at us, but that could work in our favour if West Brom try that.

COYB…

This will sound like paranoid, superstitious nonsense but I think we'll struggle purely because it's a 12:30 kick off. I'm convinced early kick offs favour the away team, as crowds are (a) still half asleep, (b) not completely rat-arsed.

As I say, paranoid nonsense probably, but i'd much rather be away for a 12:30 than at home.

I'd say it's a 50-50 game, when we could really do with an 80-20!
Can see a 2-2 draw, which I might even be tempted to take if offered.
I think you're right though, it will be very nervy, unless we come out firing.

I can see us huffing and puffing to salvage a draw, but that's based on me seeing us mostly away this season. Hopefully we'll put Charlton behind us and get back to a much better home performance, but I can't say I'm confident unfortunately.

I'm concerned. Defeat today is not an option, a draw not enough. The players need a boost to their confidence but a subdued and increasingly frustrated crowd, might make it a difficult day if we fall behind. The players need support more than ever right now. Up the Town!!

Sobering to think that even if we win today we'll still be below West Brom, mid-table, eight points off automatic.

I know it's early days, and we'll still have the game in hand, but it really is time to get back to winning ways.

To be honest not very confident, hoping for a win and at this stage will take one any way it comes.
