Bizarre to think that the Euro Champs of the time didn't make it to Qatar.. Failing to qualify in 2018 affected them in terms of seeding for the 2022 quals as it landed them in a group with Spain with only one nation going through automatically.
That said, they really should have dealt with North Macedonia in the play-off. [Post edited 13 Nov 2025 20:42]
