That said, if it s playoffs to be,I think over the course of three games we ve got the ability to do it. It s then we ll see the true mentality of this squad
| Whatever spin you put on tonight on 22:44 - Mar 10 with 890 views | MrPotatoHead | A very frustrating night. The first half was awful and the way we managed that at the end was so naive. I can’t imagine another side in the division having their centre half on the left wing in the 94th minute getting in a muddle like that. I don’t know what on earth he was thinking, then Furlong air kicking the ball. It was schoolboy stuff, everyone just seemed to panic. Even the bench looked flustered, there wasn’t a calm head to be seen. | | | |

| Whatever spin you put on tonight on 08:06 - Mar 11 with 711 views | DJR | A major factor for me was that the players we brought on seemed to make us both weaker and less cohesive, and I don't think any really held on to the ball or put in tackles. McAteer springs to mind but he was far from alone. [Post edited 11 Mar 8:07]

The PO opponent will simply park the bus at PR and finish us off at home like what the scum did in 14/15. Once we concede we might as well forfeit the match

Logic? We conceded two last night and then scored three!

There's a lot of recency bias when it comes to appraising performances. Boro have had plenty of wobbles and have also been inconsistent, streaky at times, across the season too hence them not being well clear of us already. Coventry had one extended wobble that included us beating them twice but otherwise they've been more consistent in finding ways to win across their 36 games which is why they have a bit of a cushion.

I’m not basing my observation on last night’s game. It’s based on a general trend over the entire season so far [Post edited 11 Mar 8:40]

| Whatever spin you put on tonight on 08:30 - Mar 11 with 582 views | Meadowlark | Slow and predictable. It's been said before but last night epitomised our laboured build-up play and inability to create chances. The goals from Burns and Hirst were the exceptions that proved the rule. So easy when you pass the ball forward at pace. When Walton has the ball our next dozen or so passes and moves are choreographed to such an extent that all our opponents must know exactly where the ball is going. The fact that this is all done so slowly, with O'Shea always doing that little feint to kick before he actually kicks, after putting his foot on the ball to stop play for a while, and if his or Kipre's final pass is wayward (and let's be honest, it's always either one or the other of them) then we're instantly back in trouble. And a few other observations that have worried me for a while; why, when we get a free kick do we always take it quickly and always pass it backwards? I get the quick part, but backwards? Sometimes it would be nice to get the ball into the box. Do our players talk to each other? This one has been going on for a long time. Defensive headers when not under pressure. Why can't we just hold the ball instead of automatically heading it back? What happened to the old shout of "time" if a colleague is under no pressure and has time to bring the ball down? And while I'm on a rant, why do we let opponents run at pace through our midfield and back off to give them more space? This was our downfall at Wrexham and is noticeable on several occasions each time we play. Of course, it was a very disappointing performance last night, but I have been saying these things for a while. Just ask those who sit next to me! It's not the end of the world though. We know this team can be fast and exciting, but we so often default to this poor version. I guess the question for McKenna is how to consistently find the team that has convincingly beat Coventry twice this season. | | | |

I get everyone is emotional but come on - this team can go anywhere and beat any team in the division. Our defensive record, depsite nights like last night and Wrexham away, is as good as any in the division and we turned it on when the chips were down and scored three goals in about half an hour last night. Focus has to be getting Philogene back in time for the Playoffs if that's where we are headed because he is a match winner - can't shake the feeling he is scoring a worldie at Wemley.

Yes but you never know which Ipswich team will turn up. It’s fking Russian Roulette now every time the team steps out into the pitch.

Not sure that is true. Our biggest problem, from my view point, is that our play is too predictable and our opponents are better prepared on a match by match basis. Stoke managed to score three goals but their xA was 0.12. They know that our defenders will make very few tackles. Have just checked back BBC player stats. O’Shea last won a tackle on 7th February, in the last four league games he has only attempted one tackle which was judged to be a foul. He is strong in the air, at least defensively, and has an eye for a pass, although too many times he takes the easy option. But he constantly avoids attempting a tackle. McKenna is too inflexible in his approach to games. I know only one team has conceded fewer goals, and only one team scored more, but they are the teams currently in the automatic places. We lost members of the coaching, and back room, staff over the summer and it shows. We have the players to push for automatic but only if we start being more flexible in the way we play..

| Whatever spin you put on tonight on 09:18 - Mar 11 with 394 views | ITFCson | And how about spinning it in a way that easy referee decisions are made correctly....then we have also won these games and would be on the back of 5 straight wins. Yes we can do things better but both games we have done enough to win and both games we would have won had it not been for abject refereeing decisions. | | | |
