Anyone got any good suggestions for us to sign from the championship for next season who are better than what we have ? I’m struggling to think of anyone who would be a significant improvement for us and a good PL player from any rival (maybe bar Haji Wright from Coventry and Hayden Hackney from Boro) ? Hackney>Louza, and a much higher ceiling IMO. Louza probably easier to get, but would be a compromise.
Other than that, I don't see anyone else in the Championship worth pursuing - we need to be aiming higher, and probably from abroad. Depending on who the final relegated club is, there may be some worth looking at from Spurs or West Ham. | | | |

What was the name of that budgie striker from Lincoln who hit the ground running earlier in the season? Looked handy if raw, but not sure he's the got the engine or capable of stepping up? Obviously would be third choice at best (hopefully). I guess we'd need to see more than half a season of decent performances at tier 2 level to even take a punt? |  |

Yes you are right. But we also need to be careful with loans or purchases of Premier League players.
Phillips was a classic example at £75,000 a week and Neil hasn't exactly pulled up any trees.
Over the years we have also taken on several up and coming young players from the likes of Chelsea who do very little except gain a bit of experience with us.
Come the start of the new season we cannot afford a start like the last season otherwise we will be all but relegated by Christmas.
The ones we get in need to be powerful athletic types. | | | |

Hackney is for certain prem standard but imo our hopes of signing him have passed. He goes to a settled prem team.
Regards others, Louza is decent but is he improving us enough.
