There are 6 PL manager contracts which are up at end of 2027 currently, plus a further 3 open roles.

Celtic will definitely want him but I'm not sure I see him taking a full 12 months out and they will be relying on their not being a PL job coming up before then or at the end of next summer.

If there are a couple of midtable PL jobs up next summer, which is probable, then I would have thought he would choose that over Celtic.

To be fair MON is 74, he's not really going to sign a 4 year deal.


Roy Hodgson took charge at Bristol City this last season at the age of 78... so no reason why MON couldn't have signed for 4 yrs.
