Everton v United thread… Hackney a sub again 13:44 - Sep 6 with 968 viewsunstableblue

Could do with Everton’s doom and gloom following the transfer window to be continued with a home loss against an unchanged United. That United front line is really strong as we found out and Mainoo should own the middle.

Of note Hackney is only on the bench again. After starting the first game.

Everton line up:

Pickford
Rohl Tarkowski Braithwaite Myolenko
Armstrong Garner
Johnson Dewsbury-Hall George
Barry

That feels a first 11 of similar quality to ours??

So Everton in blue / white / blue… and United in red shirts / white shorts… why was it we couldn’t wear our first choice kit last week at old Trafford?

We could and the club decided not to, likely for commercial reasons, it’s really not that hard.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Because we have an away kit for away games - suspect it was our club who made that decision

So easy for United and Mbeumo there… but also United attacking quality on 15:09 - Sep 6 with 750 viewsunstableblue

United allowed Everton a lot of the ball first half, but without carving out the chances and goal Town did, then all it needs is for this United front 4 to go up a gear. And it’s easy.

Still think Everton have been decent. But is Barry going to give the threat needed?

We have a ‘change’ kit for clashes. Maybe I’m old school but want us to be playing in blue and white in the majority of games unless a change is necessary.

Everton are not facing the same Fernandez we did on 15:32 - Sep 6 with 671 viewsunstableblue

A couple of brilliant longer passes aside, Bruno hasn’t gone into his grab the game turbo mode, which is why we lost at United.

He’s a 6.8 today not a 9.6 as we experienced!

Fernandes is obviously an incredible player but we really couldn’t have made it much easier for him.

We gave him the freedom of Old Trafford to do what he wanted.

Now 1-1 after a cracking strike from Everton’s new winger supplied by Hackney

United haven’t been as good in this game as they were in the second half against us

And Fernandez is not firing

He absolutely was the key reason they beat us - as confided by multiple pundits and their manager. His stats on the day were ridiculous.

I don't have an issue with playing in the away kit when we are away, even if there is no clash, apart from last season as I thought that red kit was a awful.

Playing in a change kit at home though.......

1-1 currently.
United need Maguire to get a slam dunk, I mean a goal.

How did we lose so convincingly to that Man Utd team? It is so depressing seeing other teams handle them without too much difficulty.

It’s worrying early on, especially that Everton are one of the sides that we’re competing with at the bottom and both them and Hull have already taken points of Manchester United.
