| Palacios watch 08:42 - Oct 7 with 1658 views | unstableblue | (Not that I’m obsessed) Came on as a sub on 78mins for Romero. Game finished 2am UK time this morning. No direct flights, 15hrs via Madrid or other cities. Don’t think they’d charter a plane for that length of time. Can’t see him back till Thursday. So I reckon bench on Saturday. Which is a shame. | |

Taylor provides a more attacking minded edge and the ability to score from range. (A small (unstable) part of me believes this!)

Also we have Florentina and Nunez ready if Taylor isn't considered. Also... where's Matty Sewer? He's got to be close to ready.

Taylor wont be featuring much for us this season. There are 5 midfielders ahead of him. Palacios will be fine. Unless he is injured he will be starting every game. If he were to drop out Florentino and Lukic would also be good. [Post edited 7 Oct 10:31]

Close to Zero chance Taylor being on the bench. It will likely be Luis and Lukic starting if Palacios is not deemed ready post travel.

Taylor along with McAteer are arguably our two most improved players, so I would hope he would get a chance like others have.

True, both of those players have improved but both are no where near good enough for the PL. If they do impress GON in training then I’m sure that they will get a chance but I just can’t see it. They are just slightly above average Championship players.

PL clubs have often shared private charter flight costs back for smaller groups in same regions. However in this case I would imagine Argentina will probably have chartered flights for the european players as a group in and out of London or Paris . . . reckon they will be back by late afternoon today.

We have a number of players still to step up though, including O'Shea, Greaves, Davis, Fatawu, Philogene, Clarke, Walton, Nunez, and even Maeda. We shouldn't be writing those two off when they aren't much worse then some of our starters!

Surely Davis has stepped up, no? I appreciate he seemed to find the transition hard in his first PL season with Town, but this year he seems to me to have been one of our standout players. The average TWTD ratings have Enciso higher (fair enough) , but I think Davis has the second highest rating.

That's an interesting list. You don't think that Dara, Leif, Fatawu & Clarke have stepped up? I reckon they'v done well enough so far
