I really hate betting at Epsom (as you know) you just don't know if horses will act on this unique course if they haven't run there before. If you must have a bet, bet on course winners. Of course in the derby none of them will have so it's all in the lap of the gods whether they handle the course and soft going.

At the prices Kew Gardens 33-1 could be worth an each way punt...Having said that he might be there as the pace maker for the favourite?

There's plenty of 10-1 available now for Young Rascal? Who incidently is owned by the sponsor of the race.

Will our resident tipster on sabbatical it is difficult to know who to turn to. In his honour Saxon warrior and Young Rascal are worthy on consideration. The former is too short a priced favourite while the latter is disqualified from consideration due to his jockey wearing yellow.

Has to be Masar, priced around 20/1.

Nothing scientific about this have used the formula my wife applies, with some success, at Newmarket. Must have a nice name name and preferably wearing blue, certainly not yellow.

Galileo progeny have very good records on undulating going, esp at grade 1 courses, but I've gone for the slightly better bred on dam's side** (edit - sorry, I meant to write "damsire"). Delano Roosevelt - 14/1 e/w b365 freebet. Completely agree re course form where possible.

On the other hand, my late Mum will be castigating me from on high for not picking one carrying yellow silks, her sole criteria for selection!!
