Fair comment by Lambert? - "Negativity is Incredible" 13:52 - Dec 13 with 800 viewsMrTown

I have said all along that any negativity at the moment has got its limitations with us sitting 2nd with a game in hand and only lost one game all season.

I do think we have dipped in form, and so has the football, but overall he is still doing a good job in a difficult league.

...in October and our current form is just below mid table.

It's not a difficult league.

Apart from that, spot on.

So what you saying then Bloots, we get rid? If so, who would you look to appoint?

I think Lambo will never fully understand our mindset, as he's not an Ipswich fan who has watched the past 15 years or so of false dawns and gradual decline. We're damaged goods.

I think we're all just a bit frustrated that we're three months into the season and seem to be regressing, when performances (as opposed to results) weren't great to begin with. When you couple this with the constant changes to the team and system, no clear style of play, and a drop off in results it's easy to see why people might not be feeling too chipper.

We've lost 2 games.

Lambo is getting more annoying by the week. Shut up and get on with it and get us the promotion our enormous, richly rewarded squad should be easily easily capable of.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Team plays sh*t, he buys some people a pint and then says everything must be good because the fans are happy. Repeat on a loop.

Last season 0/10 and we haven't played well this season for more than a half. We are just in a pub league and getting worse

Yeah but even then, is there much negativity bar discussing tactics and selections online?

I don't go to games - but the impression i've got when watching iFollow is the fans have generally stuck with the team this season at games.

Last few home games have felt a bit flat, aside from outrage at the ref versus Wycombe. They were booed off at half time and full time on Tuesday. I think that he's more referring to the press and their questions than to the fans though.

....he was appointed, so I'm hardly the best judge!

That said I wouldn't have appointed Lambert in the first place, he has a history of starting well but then gradually retreating into a siege mentality and eventually alienating everyone.

Plus he's budgie scum.

I think we will have to stay with him and hope that we somehow stumble into the Championship. If we do I just hope that we don't give him too much time next season.

Personally I don't think we will go up, and hopefully then we can bin him and see who's up for taking on the challenge with a far weaker squad than the fraud has at his disposal.

Additional: To answer the original question, if we are still in the 3rd Division next year then I'd genuinely look at appointing from within, Chambo/Skuse or both, with Klug (probably) over seeing it.

It would be the perfect opportunity for them.

If he sorts the football out we can change him from PR Paul to Pyro Paul

Porno Paul and Petite Paul aren't changing though

That is such a naive/poor attitude to have.

No wonder he talks about this 'divine right to win' mentality.
