Good piece from Watson to be honest, writes very well.

Saw another piece however, when he was talking about a conversation Lambert had with Roger Schmidt of Bayer Leverkusen, and Schmidt asked why Lambert was constantly changing formation, to which he said he was looking to get a result (at Villa), to which Roger Schmidt said: “You’ll just confuse the players”.

Time for Lambert to be reminded of these words, I’d like to settle of the 3-5-2, I think we have done more than enough to win the last 2 games.

I don’t really see how they think PL isn’t being backed by the fans? Look at the attendance figures for home and away fixtures this season. The problem is, if things don’t improve on the pitch, which is the job of the manager and the players and not the club’s supporters, this goodwill will soon be lost. Our manager has earned that contract pretty much on the basis of failure and for all the support I will continue to give the club I’ve not seen anything of note to convince me he has the capability to turn this mess (of his own making may I add) around.

I forgot about the cringey holding hands celebration. Eurgh.

That last line should read 'no one said it would be easy. No one said we'd make it this hard for ourselves'.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

But we've won neither game and a blind man can see our CBs aren't cut out for three at the back.

We haven’t won a game in 12 matches and we have used practically every formation under the sun during that period so that argument is invalid.

Thought we looked good against Wycombe, fair better than prior performances.

All it took was an aging lump of a striker to f*ck us over.

If you thought we looked good against Wycombe you must have pretty low standards. We were bang average against an out of form side coming off three losses and a 4-1 humping at home three days prior. We were shaky at the back and carved out a few half chances, it wasn't some huge turning point.

I'd suggest that this makes it the first Improved Performance of the season only we didn't lose limply.
Instead we drew limply.

We are 12 without a win, rather uninspiring form ourselves.

I don't have low standards, just a greater dose of reality.

Nope, you have low standards and an inexplicable hard on for our ineffectual manager.

Thinking Lambert is still the man for the job is an indicator of many things, but a greater dose of reality isn't one of them.

What's he done in the past greater-than-a-year to suggest he is? Recruited well? Improved the style of play? Actually decided upon a style of play? Bought well? Made a genuine fight of avoiding relegation?

I find it difficult to believe that a man who's failed in every job he's had since 2012 could do that.

He's bought very well yes, we were on an unbeaten run for 12 games, was he a bad manager then?

Or is now we have a sticky spell that the toys go out the pram at the first time.

I am just supporting the manager whilst he is here, indivduals like yourself however have no benefit to the club.
