Yep wd-40, or water displacement 40th formula, to give it its proper name, is not a chain lubricant. Arguably any chain lubricant,as long as its lubricant and not just wd40 by another name will work, alot of the time they add 'cycle' or 'motorcycle' specific to charge people more. FWIW I stick with Muc-off dry, apply spin pedals through some revolutions wipe off any excess |  | |  |

Quick one for the cycling enthusiasts on 14:17 - Apr 23 with 524 views | ElephantintheRoom | I think you will find that motor cycle chains turn at a higher rate and higheer temp than push bikes.... so you'll encourage filth and grit to build up and destroy your chain a tad faster than other stuff. Over-lubing the moving parts on a push bike can do a lot more harm than good - especially in the current dry and dusty conditions. |  |
