From which particular study does that first assertion come? I know they are investigating nicotine (along with, it seems, almost everything else) as a potential useful treatment. But I haven't seen any stats to suggest smoking inhibits infection, just rather a lot to suggest it greatly increases the chances of mortality if it happens. |  |
