Football without fans is awful, terrible, ghostly, unreal.

...and fans without football can get cranky.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

I don’t find it the case. I guess it depends on how you watch the game. As someone who’s as happy to stand in a park and watch a match, it’s the same sport. Fans add atmosphere and going to a game is an ‘experience’ but it’s still 11v11 with a goal at each end.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

It feels even odder listening on the radio. Don't even get the 'fake' noise piped in.

There's no indication of who is attacking, or in the ascendancy, which very often you get a clue of when you tune in.

I imagine it's just as noisy as normal. Quietest 'big' ground I've ever been too.

True to an extent but fans are a vital piece of the pro game

That's when you need Brenner. Gets as excited when the opposition attack as he does when Town do.

Yeah. I've missed it.

That and the fact I've paid for 3 months of footy I've not seen.....

Wasn't much "social distancing" at set pieces, just the usual blocking, pulling, holding etc.

I personally think the crowd noise works quite well, far better than the early Bundesliga games which had no sound at all?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I hadn't thought of the radio! Perhaps they should adopt the hushed tones of golf commentators and build up the tension that way.
