I am from the 'good walk spoiled' school of thought, but nevertheless I acknowledge that different people get different things from different sports so wouldn't knock it for them that like it.
That said, as a televisual experience I have always thought it lacks something, mostly it is just shots of a white ball against a grey sky.

I find it more enjoyable to play than to watch, that's for sure. Although I'm not keen on all the conformity, often antiquated social rules and sh*t dress sense. My old fella's into his golf and has been club captain and all that jazz. It's too much of a clique for me. |  |

A professional tournament is played over 18 holes. Each course has different holes and "pars". "par 3" means 3 shots with the stick to get the ball in a hole. You also get "par 4" and "par 5". The person with the lowest score after playing 72 holes (weather dependent) Wins a trophy and money. | | | |
