You have probably until the end of tbe day to salvage your credibility amongst the fans and ultimately the people that pay your wages. Chose your battle wisely fella

He's not very good. | |

At the risk of being a bit direct, I am not sure we should be surprised that a PE teacher is not the best PR man the club has ever had. Maybe he could have a try at being in charge of the physio department for a while and the Planet Blue manager could take a turn at the microphone.

I'd have at least gone for a Head of the English Department in a large Secondary School with "Good" across the Board in its last Ofsted. I have known PE teachers who weren't thick as mince, but they are very much outliers.

It ends up with him obfuscating around the point, but not adding any personality to the point, or being able to schmooze the interviewer well enough Milne would sometimes put his foot in it, but he was very good at giving the interviewer a bit of meat to run with and direct them where he wanted the interview to go

I can see why being not very good at the job he is being asked to do is a bit of a problem. Yes.

He's a sports science guy that was academy manager, who has been promoted into a role where a lot of parts of it should be within his capabilities. But he's not a front man, who is used to dealing with the press and making public statements - realsitically has got no experience of big firms of dealing with shareholders and difficult clients where you have to watch every word

He may well be excelling at his job, if that job is effectively to be the shield and mouthpiece of ME. None of us know what Marcus wants him to do (I don't think).

I'm pretty sure he said 'last season wasn't good enough' to be fair to him.

They’ve sacrificed their reputation and any illusion of trustworthiness in order to protect a lame duck. Lambert will be gone soon, this can’t end any other way, I’m just worried about what will be left behind.
