He's a good egg, Tyrone.

They did it superbly compared to what has followed it.

Lots of others have left and haven't been replaced properly behind the scenes. Jade Cole on the PR side, Ogle on the media side, even people on reception, having an MD in the building etc. Talented people who all pulled together. Easier when you have a manager like Mick that brings the club together. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Well said, MM was a gent, first name terms with staff family etc, pulled the club together whilst on a shoestring budget. Other good people who have left include McGavin & Lee in the academy, like you say talented people who all pulled together. You now have a GM who is woefully underqualified, you could write what he actually knows about professional football on the back of a postage stamp.

Im not doubting MM's personal qualities, I was talking more along the lines of "Ipswich people" - Milton being the only one I can think of

Well Mick saved the club and Evans for many years. Once he was gone it was obvious we'd go down, I just wish Mick hadn't have reacted to the supporter unrest the way he did and approached it cooly.

He said that there were a lot of good people at Ipswich. Nothing about “Ipswich people”. If he was talking about his time then I’m sure it’s Milts, Klug, Mick, TC, Milne at least. All of whom have a reputation as good people. As Evans is still there, the top down comment must refer to those who were effectively the senior managers at the time.
