Sunderland have 60 million to spend!! 12:30 - Apr 6 with 1825 viewsitfcbishop

If sunderland go up the new owner has a war chest of 60 million, apparently he is itching to spend it!
Marcus Evans can't wait to spend 15k, heard its 30k if promoted. Good times ahead

Announcing you have money to spend is one of the dumbest things a football club can do. All it does is alert the selling club that they can dig in and ask for more money.

For example, remember when we had £12m to spend and suddenly Plymouth wanted almost double the amount for David Norris. And obviously, we paid it.

Evans is itching to spend half of whatever getting rid of players saves, half of the savings from dumping the academy and nothing from the sale of half the training ground.

Pessimistic or realistic? I hope the former.

Good luck to Sunderland. They belong in the Premier League.

Good on them. Ambitious owners looking to get a return on their investment by taking a big club back to the Premier League. Wouldn't bet against them doing it either.

That's nice. He'll fail FFP and be docked 12pts then...

Not if they gain promotion again. Leeds United lost £62m in 2019/20. FFP is a joke.

Good for Sunderland.

It worked very well for them last time they spent heavily didn't it?
