Unfortunately, some of the external issues still hold - the precariousness of Netanyahu's grip on power (and the equal keenness of many of his rivals to be seen as tough on Hamas), plus Tehran's anger over the recent assassinations and bombings attacking their nuclear programme.

Hopefully something is put in place and holds.
We've had Muslim kids wearing Palestinian flags on their uniform and have been told to make them remove them. IT's caused a few difficult discussions, and I've offered to put together some resources and assemblies to present something kid-friendly but it's quite a heated issue in our school already.
Down in South Manchester a kid was excluded for shouting "Free Palestine" at a Jewish teacher but the initial media coverage and social media rumours omitted the important bit and it caused an outcry.

I might get you to collaborate with me!
...and is one of the reasons I didn't take up teaching! Ps...that kid is clearly antisemitic!

I don't think it is possible to properly evaluate Iran's involvement without understanding their Cold War with Saudi Arabia.
Edit: Felt I did the classic link and run, rather than trying to explain my point. Iran support Hamas against Israel, whereas Saudi Arabia support a two state system through dialogue. Bringing together Fatah and Hamas.
If Hamas control Palestine, then Iran have the power, whereas if Fatah are in control, Saudi Arabia have the control. Add to that, despite their anger at Israel's actions, Saudi Arabia work behind the scenes with Israel against Iran, who are their common enemy.

Yes, the whole situation is far more complex and interlinked than appears on the surface. A web of rivalries from very local through regional to international level, layered with history and propaganda.

And of course the infamous 'Judas!' heckle happened at the Free Trade Hall.

Not really sure that’s an “I blame the parents” moment considering it’s more of a wider social problem. The idea that ordinary British Jews need to answer for Israel’s actions is no different from the equally offensive, mainstream demand that British Muslims need to actively and publicly distance themselves from Islamist terrorist atrocities.
No, they don’t.

Why would you send your children to school with Palestinian flags, if not to provoke a reaction? Nothing to do with schools and those children. No place for it.

There’s no problem with kids having a Palestinian flag.

The new owner, Ed Schwartz doesnt. The first thing he sees fit to inform you about his work at ORG on Linked-in is his support for raining death and destruction on Palestine.

Why do you assume children don’t have the wherewithal to colour in white stickers and and stick them to their blazers?
Why do you assume that provoking a reaction has to be a negative or confrontational one? Hopefully it will lead to a discussion

I feel the same way about slavery reparations.

If slavery reparations were about going up to individual white people and angrily demanding their cash, then you'd have a point.
Stop trying so hard.
I’m just saying. It’s funny how many things you and I agree on!
