Thoughts?

For me.. it’s ridiculous. He’s been in the under 23s for the entirety of pre-season and he’s the one called on in the crisis of needing a goal. Weird decision and the first genuine ‘wtaf is Cook thinking’ moment for me.

Saturday really needs to be a win

Poll: Would you take a draw tonight if offered right now?

100%

I was amazed he was on the bench to be honest although realize we have injuries. the fact he was our first change made me seriously question Cook.

Diabolical.

Poll: Is it now time to sack Paul Cook?

Maybe forwards had no energy left?

Quite agree, utterly ridiculous decision.

Not just putting Jackson on but taking Pigott off.

That's a heads gone . . .

I thought it was strange too, although a mate pointed out the thinking - Cheltenham being slow at the back. However, Jackson barely got a touch.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Well, I did wonder what he was doing getting rid of our player of the year centre back, and said as much. But yes, nobody forced him to exile senior players. He decided to do so for reasons that are far from clear, and then expects them to suddenly be up to full speed in the first team. Worrying.

Didn’t touch the ball in 20 minutes.

Against Newport he touched it once in 15 minutes to go past the keeper and then lose it.

I like Cook. Fully behind him. But the inclusion of Jackson and the fact he was the first change (for Piggott) who played well, was the first time I’ve really questioned Cook.

Miserable trip home this evening. Bonne’s horror miss goes in and we probably won’t bag comfortably.

Burgess was superb however and Edwards was wonderful when we could actually get the ball to him. We look marvellous until the final third.

Yeah agree the first “what is he thinking” moment. We all knew Jackson was going to offer nothing. They grew and grew into the game and we handed it to them on a plate.

Too early to be asking questions maybe but very worrying nevertheless.
