Sunderland (A) Ticket Sales 12:53 - Nov 4 with 1761 views | pennblue | We only seem to have one block in the corner for sale. Have we sold out the other three already? How many we sold, any ideas? I think we need 2,000 up there to make ourselves heard [Post edited 4 Nov 2021 12:54]

Sunderland (A) Ticket Sales on 12:59 - Nov 4 with 1697 views | SitfcB | Yes I think that’s the last block available, could probably get more if we sell that out.

Sunderland (A) Ticket Sales on 13:02 - Nov 4 with 1680 views | ITFC_Forever | The ticket sales portal for away games releases one block at a time, clearly in a pre-set order.

....there's bleedin engineering works on LNER that day. It turns it into a 5 hour journey from London. Disappointing, but sod that.

Thing is it’s not even bus replacement just ‘diversions’ and slower speed.

Do other countries railway networks have continual engineering works that disrupt service? Or is that a peculiarly British thing?

Its the german's fault.... many european rail networks were re-built after ww2. Whereas we still have our victorian network. One of the arguments for HS2, is that its not actually about speed ( because really, who needs to save 15 minutes on a trip between London and Manchester). Its about capacity. A new modern line will enable us to take pressure off the existing lines, allowing maintenance to be less intrusive, and allow more frequent services of those places currently bypassed by the express trains.
