Charlton 26k! Our own Pack Out PR is at 25k 12:38 - Nov 22 with 1743 viewsunstableblue

Going to be quite a large crowd at the Valley in a few weeks… seeing as they got 26k against Plymouth Saturday…. Beating them 2-0… so a tough tough game ahead

Our Pack Out PR for Sunderland is at 25k… but mates were trying to get to get tickets on line and state there are only singles?!

Are there really 4K restricted view seats?!

Confused

Some sections have advertising sheets over them don't they? Bottom tier of away fans section, section 6 SAR lower are examples.

Also seem to remember the back 4/5 rows in the Co Op upper are blocked from buying. Also section U2 in Cobbold is usually blocked

Sorry to be clear:

- currently there are only it seems a few singles scattered about in unrestricted areas… so it looks like the current available capacity is 26k

- if restricted seats are then released, are there really 2000-3500 of them to make up the 28-29k target

Hope that’s clear

Reckon around 2k restricted view tickets - back of Coop and Cobbold stands - plus those that are not normally used (lower tier in front of away fans and block in front of Churchmans. Could be a few hundred seats.

Will also need to keep seats clear between home and away fans. Block E has not gone on sale to either sets of fans, which is around 800 seats on its own.

It is all a bit odd as the capacity with segregation should be about 29,300 or thereabouts. As people have said they may not include the lower part of the away section either and a few in corners but capacity thereafter should still be minimum 28,500 - 29,000 and 'normal' restricted views are no more than 1,300 or so.

I think you will find 1800 plus Sunderland fans have to be added to our own total so circa 27k in stadium …… I’m sure I will be corrected if wrong !

I've just done a count-up of the available tickets (yes, I'm bored...) and there are currently 184 tickets available for the Sunderland game:

Churchmans - 64
Pioneer - 78
Cobbold - 42

I'm going to assume that the majority of the restricted view seats have yet to go on sale, given that the website shows them all to be greyed out whilst 'full view' seats are still available. I wouldn't be surprised, also, if a certain number of tickets have been taken off sale to allow for the requisite number of donated seats (both as a result of the online campaign, and as a result of whatever the club staff end up donating) to be provided.

I think it all probably ties in with a total capacity these days of around 29k, but perhaps RV seats don't make up the entirety of the 4k remaining tickets.

Figure includes Sunderland tickets, 2,000 of them I think.

Don’t think they had even gone on sale when the club included them in the total the other day but they probably will sell out their allocation.

I doubt it but I assume that's the standard allocation given to them and the expectation is they'll sell them all.

It could be that ITFC doesn't offer tickets on a sale-or-return basis? If this is the case, then if Sunderland have taken an allocation of 2,000, then that's 2,000 sales already.

That might explain why some clubs fans this season (I know MK Dons were one) have been unhappy about the number of tickets they've had, especially given that we would usually be able to accommodate as many fans as the away club wants to bring.

"I've just done a count-up of the available tickets" - this is the level of commitment to Portman Road sales/capacity analysis that I respect and treasure

I salute you

This will be correct I'm sure:"I wouldn't be surprised, also, if a certain number of tickets have been taken off sale to allow for the requisite number of donated seats"
