We really need to find a "playing the percentages" mode for days like today, where virtually nothing we try comes off. There were very few early crosses or shots from distance, very little that we just try and put in the mixer. That's fine if your forward's interplay is clicking or even if the opposition is claiming a lot of the ball and territory and you want a bit more control.
When you've got 65% percentage and all you're doing with it is setting yourself up for a counter attack? Nah, work an angle, get it in the area as quick as you can, force them to defend and face their own goal. |  |
