It would be an "opportunity cost" signing rather than a "squad planning" one, I think. You buy him because if you don't buy him you watch him toddle off to the Championship club on a free in the Summer then reappear at Leciester for £25m a year later... [Post edited 31 Jan 2022 14:58]
