There was a pad recently up for the same money on the brink of the Peak District, same size with 3 separate detached bungalows all in 168 acres.
Not a poxy 3 acres.
For 5 and a half million I'd want more than 3 sodding acres. | |

10% deposit and £23k a month for 25 years. Clearly you don’t tend to need a mortgage if you are buying gaffs like this but £1.1m to move in and then an average annual salary a month for 25 years puts it in to perspective. | |

High maintenance gardens not to my taste either, so it's a no from me.

It's handy for the doctors, the library and of course the parish church of St Peter and St Paul. The church includes the parclose chapel and tomb of Thomas Spring III, a Lavenham cloth merchant who was the richest commoner in England in the 1520s.
Spring co-financed the building of the church with the Earl of Oxford. At his death Spring left a bequest for one thousand masses to be sung in his memory. | |
