I saw the SNP flash up when I read the article and was going to reply to GB about them but saw your post so out of politeness I thought I should reply to you.
My industry has some major changes going on in Scotland with Wee Nicola obviously at the forefront to changes of the law.
Now - I know the common conception is that I am a complete idiot but I will have you know that I am a bit of an authority in my trade and I am part of my trades sort of spokes panel association sort of thing.
Anyhoo - we have been discussing their proposed legislation for a while with them with regards to statistics, facts and figures and I have to report - You think Boris is a liar? I have never witnessed such a lying, misleading, bullyboy, off the scale scumbag of an organisation as the SNP.

I don’t know too much about the SNP and I don’t have strong feelings whether Scotland votes for independence (or not) in the future - was just commenting on that article.

My brother, who is English but holds a senior position in a prominent Scottish not-for-profit organisation backs up your view entirely.

Any abuse and threats are clearly beyond the pale. So I’m not condoning those.
But I am also aware of how poor a journalist Sarah Smith was as BBC Scotland political editor. Probably even worse in that role than Laura Kuenssberg is in hers. And I’m also aware how poor a journalist Andrew Neil is on anything Scottish independence-related.
I see Smith’s now the BBC’s US correspondent ... wow!

Have you read The Guardian link that Ryorry posted? It mentions unionist abuse as well as coordinated SNP abuse, seems a balanced article to me.
And if you want some levelling up, have a read of 'The National', just as an example of the gutter press as The Sun, The Daily Star, The Daily Mail and The Daily Express. |  |
