In your example. The striker has missed a chance but at least tried.
Burgess.. didn't even attempt to move with the player he was supposed to be marking. That's the difference.
So yes I would fine him. This doesn't change that upto that moment he had a really solid game. But his lack of effort where it mattered resulted in us drawing the game. You just never in a game of football just stand still in the box let alone last minute of the game and let your man walk infront of you. [Post edited 20 Mar 2022 14:42]

Mckenna seems a bit more level headed than that, that seems an old school way of doing it
It's reactive rather than proactive, I'd imagine McKenna would want to figure out what caused that to happen and figure out how to stop it happening again
