Sounds like Pigott last year.

I think we'll be shopping in the Championship rather than L1 relegation fodder

But i see Stockton scoring goals not even Piggott got having a striker who scores goals like him inside the box outside the box a good target man is what we have lacked all season i would like to see him here but if it’s a gamble who else?

KMc’s system doesn’t seem to favour certain types of striker. I think he’s trying to go down the Liverpool route of no out and out striker.

Can't argue with his goals scored.
But, As others will say look at Piggott.
Seems a similar style of forward.
I feel we will be aiming for a more athletic centre forward to handle the pressing under McKenna.
A more prolific Jackson.
Would the lad who got the goals to get Posh up be an option? Clarke Harris. Could do a job.

Poll: Apologies I'm bored. How many signings will we have by Plymouth at home.

Personally, to stock the squad, I’d go with Jackson and another similarly quick, mobile player to stretch the defence/run the channels. One of whom will play with more of a target man – a marquee signing plus Pigott who I think we should probably persevere with and give a clean slate.

This with Simpson for competition/ regular outings off the bench. As well as Chaplin who can play that deep-lying, second striker role.

Not sure Stockton would fit. But to be honest, I’m going by amateur guesswork here. Will be fascinating to see how McKenna and his team see the problem/solution.

Few options. I'd go for Alfie May and Mo Eisa.

a niche perspective

We don't play a system that requires a target man though. We basically need pablo counago.

Still need players who can stick it in the onion bag though and strikers do that better than other positions. Maybe he could play as part of a "three" or whatever.

Hes scored goals.................this season.

Look at his history. We've made this mistake with Jackson.

I've seen him live various times, in lower leagues and hes looked shocking. I have a feeling his is a one season fluke but maybe i'll be wrong.

He's not exactly young either.

Its a No from me.

The one I am very fond of as a footballer is Matty Stevens from FGR. He's 24, tall, really does well off the ball, and can score with his head and his feet. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a going on a career journey like Keifer Moore. The drawback is he had an ACL injury this season, if not for that he's have got his second 25 goal season at such a young age.
