There is so much more to a Football club than the first team.
What should happen is all players who represent the club should do a lap of appreciation. I’m sure fans would want to applaud the U23 squad( currently top of their league) U18’s and of course The Women’s teams.
Could go all the way and add the various other age groups. |  |

In front of big home and away followings, they managed 1 more point and 2 places lower than a demoralised, technically inferior squad playing in empty stadiums managed. What a bunch of f***ing heroes!
I do however think that a full season of McKennaball will lead to a better season next year though. The players have got to stop making excuses though and learn from their mistakes next season.

We are on the way up. But need to be as dynamic and energetic as we were at times today straight from the off next season.
I thoroughly enjoyed today, and the crowd were excellent, and the lap of appreciation had some validity because we’d put on a bravura display.

What a load of arse. Ok, so the season didn’t go to plan but there is grounds for hope for next season. The lap of appreciation is simply a dignified way for the players to say ‘thanks for the support’ and for some players to say bye. It’s also a nice way for the younger members of the first eleven to understand fully what it means to be a first teamer. |  | | |
