When I first started going to football in the mid 80s I remember that returning players were clapped when the announcer said ‘welcome back to Portman Road ….’ who then returned the applause. During the match they were just another player but at the end they were clapped off. Is this so hard to do now?
And if I were a striker I would celebrate all of my goals including ones against my old clubs. [Post edited 26 Aug 2022 18:56]
