Discovered an app called Turo that some of you may have heard or. Airbnb for cars.
My friend started with his Nissan Qashqai and now has a ‘car rental empire’ of 5 cars - he rents them out to people and they come collect and drop off at his home in Crystal Palace.
My partner and I started doing the same in June and it’s easy money for a car that we are trying to avoid using in place of trains and the like. Make about £60 a day which isn’t to be sniffed at right now and the appeal for people renting is that it’s a helluva lot cheaper than standard car hire companies (they pay £85 a day). I started flipping drum kits but soon relaised that space was an issue but the returns were good. Buy a kit online that had been badly photographed and was undervalued. Set it up properly, good lighting etc & resell. Made a few hundred very quickly but ran out of room for storage.
I've since bought a football 5/6/7/ a side league franchise which is an interesting ride but I'm learning a lot - particularly abut me. [Post edited 8 Sep 2022 9:09]
