I'm not going to stop using certain words just because they might also be used by populist. So for example corporate globalism would be the theft of global resources from the public commons(often in the poorest of nation states)by multinationals into the hands of a financial and business elite.

I hadn't realised the expression was an anti-semitic trope until a couple of days ago when the host on LBC called out a caller for using it. Indeed, I am not sure I have heard the expressions globalist or globalism used in contrast to the much more common globalisation.
Nor did I realise until just now that Grant Shapps is Jewish.

It is, when it's being used an excuse for antisemitism.
Think of it as being like all that faux-sympathy for the 'working classes' that some purport to claim, when what they actually mean is 'white people'.

A lot of anti semitic tropes go unnoticed by the majority of people who don't know the history behind them.
Out and out racist abuse is easier to spot. "Go home P**i/N****r/W*g" etc. Whereas anti Jewish racism is usually couched in language that is more subtle but falls back on millenia old tropes that has led to Jewish people people persecuted around the world for nearly 2000 years. |  |
