Personally I was really impressed with the hundreds of England fans who having travelled early to soak up the atmosphere opted to skip the bars and instead marched in Doha, waving flags, all a full week ahead of our opening match.

It surely heralds a brave new era for England fans. All proudly waving their flags - none of which had club names on - and generally having a great time. No tribal hatred, all just there for the love of the game. It was almost unreal.

….not a single white, plastic, garden chair being thrown.

Pathetic.

And it just goes to show you can have good, clean fun without being fuelled by alcohol. This is truly the dawn of a new era for English football...

A tenuous link, but has anyone watched FIFA Uncovered on Netflix? A very eye opening watch as to how corrupt FIFA has become over the years. No real surprise as to how and why Russia in 2018 and Qatar in 2022 got awarded to be host nations for the last two World Cup. Money talks in that organisation.

I have yet to see this spectacle and may well be setting myself up for an almighty whoosh... but I smell a rat.

flags with no club names in is very suspicious, I seem to recall reading Qatar are paying folks for good social media coverage and from what I've read described here does not sound like genuine fans.not

If it was almost unreal, then surely it was indeed unreal?

Qatar officials have put out a statement saying that they are legit fans, so that's case closed then I reckon?
