Belgians being censored too now? 18:41 - Nov 21 with 2331 viewsMullet

The Budweiser thing did make me chuckle, mainly because of the greed involved. However, this stuff with armbands and literally the word "love" is a bit darker innit

FIFA are due a very short and sharp lesson, if only it would happen. Crazy when you think about the mass numbers of football players and supporters, and yet they seem to continue the gravy train.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, people voted Boris in, is there no hope for the human race?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

You do realise that ‘LOVE’ in Belgic means ‘boring’ don’t you?

Taking that tweet at face value, FIFA have utterly sold out on this one haven’t they? If they had anything left to sell out of course.

Quatar are publicly flaunting their anti-human rights agenda on the world stage.

It's worrying how they've been allowed to control the narrative the way they have here.

Surely this was an opportunity for them to be dragged into the modern world.

I heard an interview with Matt Lawton.... on 18:52 - Nov 21 with 2204 viewsBloots

....The Times journo the other day, he made 2 main points.

Firstly that normally at huge sporting events, like the WC or Olympics, the organisation and decision making is handed over entirely to the organising committee, whether that's FIFA, Uefa, IOC etc. Apparently at this WC FIFA have been given absolutely no power at all and it is being run entirely by the Qatari Royal Family.

He also said that The Qataris actually thought that they had been really flexible and tolerant around sexuality, booze etc prior to the WC. But because the rest of the world didn't agree and continued to question the morality of the country and the historical working conditions they have basically thrown their toys out of the pram and decided that they are not going to be flexible in the slightest. This approach started with the ban on booze in the stadiums and has now moved onto "one love" etc.

I expect it's going to get worse.

It's that blue shirt they wore v England. Apparently their normal shirt was too hot. So they went out to a local shop and bought the shirt, stitched on the badge and put silvery numbers on the back.

The kit supplier made lightweight home shirts to account for the heat in Mexico but didn't make the same effort on the change kit. Hence last minute dash to Mexican equivalent of Mick McNeil Sports before the England game and some emergency needlework.

Someone needs to send out a supply of Stonewall rainbow laces. Like to see them censor shoelaces.

also says that Maradona did the old Johan Cruyff trick of wearing a bit of kit (socks in Maradona's case) with two stripes rather than three like his team mates. Although the Argentinians' kit wasn't made by Adidas both he and Crufff wore Puma boots and Cruyff was allowed to wear a non-standard kit when the rest of the Netherlands team wore Adidas.

So just need the Qataris to recognise European domination will come to Suffolk faster than to PSG, to then become Twtd forum regulars and to see the error of their ways, and jobs a good un.

I believe that a member of the ITV staff were told that they couldn't take a rainbow bucket into the stadium. She smuggled it in anyway.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
