Do you think you can keep up the 2.26 PPG?? With this thin squad you speak of?
We’re going to be tested through December, but still have the spine of the team and a strong starting 11.

I guess if the OP was sad enough he could have gone on the Plymouth forum to find out.

And losing Whitaker in January, that’s gonna be a blow surely?
That well known expert on third division football thinks Plymouth and Ipswich have got too thin squads to last the course. Wednesday by contrast have an excellent depth of squad - and Derby are about to go on a run - apparently.

Chris Waddle was talking a load of twaddle in the media, saying we'd fall away if we had some injuries.
We've already had loads and still put out a decent side every week.
Former Wednesday player predicts Wednesday will be the best in League 1. Seems par for the course with them - they believe they have the best squad in the league and it's just a matter of time before others slip away and allow them to storm to victory. No doubt that way of thinking is down to the fact they currently need something like that to happen as they're currently 3rd.
They're ones to talk anyway, if they lose Bannan for any significant period of time then they'll struggle to keep up the pace - rarely has a team had so much of their play go through one player.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Derby are 12 points off us. Does Chris Waddle not have access to the League One table in his house?
Been thinking about the injuries, we seem very unlucky. Think back room staff/ training surfaces have been blamed in the past, not sure what’s going on this season. Lots of knee injuries - think McKenna said there’s been a lot of contact injuries. As a club do we have more than most? Imagine if we’d lost this many players in the play off season, I seem to remember Murphy being out a bit, DM definitely, many more? - MM loved a small squad.

January will see additions.
As for the PPG maintenance I think that is unlikely for all of the top clubs....teams will now play very defensively against all three and hope to nick something and some will succeed.
Wendies have the least injury woes currently, but I think they a re vulnerable to losoing Bannon as they seem to struggle when he doesn't play.....just too good for this level.
So far we have had more reds than for many a year and longer term injuries but the squad is coping.....also January is thinning out through losing cup games....the worry is we end up with a hefty end of season run in when players a re starting to get tired .
I think we will strengthen in January, as I am sure you will and possibly Wednesday as well. The question is always who/what is available.
The Whitaker thing is interesting. Swans have already said he is staying and they want him back so unless you a re going to pay over the odds for him ( and you might be) I think he is enjoying himself and doing well so why would he move on. I don't think they a re desperate to sell him on and see his time at Argyle as making him more Championship ready. He has certainly developed in the time he has been here....less greedy and makes better choices so I think if I were a gambler I would be betting on him seeing out the season in green.
I can see why you would want him and he may well fit your system well. Good motivation for him when we come to your place though....here's what you could have won :)
Personally I think Azaz is the better player....sees a pass early and accurate shooting.
My current wondering is will we win the first half of season home fixtures.....Port Vale & Morecambe to come.In theory I see no reason why not so to get to half way with 11/11 would be something special. It all goes to hell in a handcart in match 12 as we have WW who ALWAYS do us at Home Park....its just the law of the jungle.
Our away form is good but yours and the Wendies is exceptional....so we do need to do better ...we have some big away fixtures including at you, them plus Bolton Barnsley and Posh.....
My gut is till two from three and much as it pains me I think Wendies might have enough to push on, so that means you or us for the other place.
Nothing would make me happier for a Wednesday implosion....we will take numbers there and a win there would help us both.
Having Mayor and Miller back will help us a lot. Azaz back in January will be cherry on icing. If we strengthen anywhere it will be a box to box midfielder with skill and a commanding centre half/organiser.
But what do I know......in Schuey we trust!

Your first line there is eye-opening because teams have done that against us all season already and we are where we are against them.
I was going to upvote your first comment updating us on your injury list. Thanks for that and I wonder if Wednesday have the same. I don't recall Morsy assaulting your player, though. If he did, I am surprised that he is due back playing that soon.

This appears to be the match and I can't see anything from these match highlights.

That was the match but not the incident.
Morsy is a guilty pleasure. I have watched a few games where he has been the best midfielder by a distance and yet can't resist the unnecessary foul/card. He is like the scorpion on the back of the frog.
A number of Greens have moaned about his tackles.....Bolton for one, the foul v Randell where he should have seen red at HP, and yet almost every one has said, but if he was available I'd sign him.
It seems like he has to play on the edge (or just over it) and I wonder where the line is....Boltons time out has been complicated by a blood oedema but at the ned of the day if he hadn't been stamped on he wouldn't have got it....
That said he never seems to get a red.....so he can clearly rein it in when he has to.
As for teams soaking up the pressure that seems too be the standard for visiting us...notable exceptions being yourselves and the Wendies. The best were Shrewsbury who played good football on the break and could have been 2 up very easily before we came back.
Our greatest strength this season is we tire teams out and then bring on what Eddie Jones would call the finishers.....no-one ever mentions Niall Ennis but he has been superb, mainly from the bench either as the focal point or as a 10 and is the main reason we haven't missed Azaz or aye as much as we might have last season.
On that basis I have started another thread....your best Town/Argyle XI from this season....

Personally, I'd prefer a Plymouth/Ipswich first and second (not bothered who finishes highest) and Wednesday/Bolton/Derby etc to fight it out in the play-offs.
Hell of a din at Home Park when the whole ground gets involved - with 10,000 fewer people in the stadium than our current average. Our three stands that aren't the SBR could take some tips.

I agree with most of what you say about Morsy. Definitely one of those players you like to have in your side but would not like if he was in the opposition. That is something Town have lacked for a very long time. Too many opposition teams have them while no one in our side would have been like it. I vaguely recall a Sky match where one of our players was accused of a stamp (I thought it was Evans and very harsh from the commentator). I don't recall this incident. It wasn't picked up retrospectively whereas Morsy has had a ban dished out for retrospective action after an Accrington match - their chairman made a big fuss of it. He has picked up a few unnecessary yellows, but I guess it does come with playing very much on that edge you describe. I can imagine him looking after younger players on their debuts when the opposition try to rough them up.
It does sound a nasty injury and I hope that for the player's sake he recovers well. Is there footage of the incident that you are aware of? Was it a clear stamp? Was it the incident from the still picture (which looks very like both players making a wholehearted challenge).

So Sheff Weds “ big squad” don’t have to adhere to the limit on named squad numbers for league one then? Interesting.
