Are there any Free Agent CMs that we could draft in for a couple of months to provide back up?
I know that is a very Marcus Evans era thing to do but don't think that CM has been a position of strength in the Academy behind Cam Humphreys.
Not necessarily saying it's something we SHOULD do but, in any case, I'd be interested to see who's out there. |  |

I guess you mean El Miz not Harper. Mind you, Harper is a decent back up and I've always thought he would have done far better alongside Morsy than he ever did with Evans. |  |

I'm a huge fan of El Miz and would love to see him back. Just thinking more ahead of a tricky December which on paper at the start of the season I had down as our hardest month. | |

Started a similar thread mentioning Tom Carroll (as much as anything as a little surprised he is still available). Not particularly in favour of that move as it didn't work out for him (though easier for him to slot back in to the methods).
Thing is I don't think we are signing anyone over 21 as just back ups as it uses up a space in squad. Any free would be a month stop gap and doubt they would be fit enough. We will have to wait to sign someone to add value to squad in Jan. Going to be a tricky December. Need Aluko back as versatile and I wonder if Camara can do some mins still to get us through the period. |  |

I'd say it becomes tricky if we get one more injury. We haven't looked to rotate or substitute our centre midfielders and the schedule isn't especially hectic. If Humphreys and Morsy start and finish all four games, we'll be fine. |  |

Tom Carroll on previous showings for us, is nowhere near the level needed in a promotion challenging team. The fact he is currently without a club is not exactly confidence filling... |  | | |

I haven't given up on Harper yet. Still only 22, has some good qualities and, as you say, playing alongside the right kind of partner he could still come good. |  |

Connor Coventry at West Ham.
Think he's been told he can leave, i know v little about him other than he has had a couple of loans at L1 level Inc MKD last year where they had a good season.
Perhaps a loan until the end of the season as cover and to give him chance to impress/put himself in the shop window? |  |
