Ken Clarke is a nasty piece of work. I have had friends die because of him and the Tory government's stance at the time of him being Health secretary. He told Haemophiliacs at the time to carry on injecting Factor 8 even though it has been proven that he and the government of the time knew a good six months before that factor 8 was contaminated with AIDS. It all came out at the Infected Blood Inquiry where Clarke was obnoxious and unrepentant. He couldn't even see that it was wrong to visit Prisons and Borstals to milk inmates of their blood and put it into the NHS blood bank. I know this because I am a Haemophiliac and I was at the inquiry when Clarke gave his evidence. |  | | |

I think there is a difference. Galloway and Williamson have been no-platformed by the UK media. The same is true of the far from extreme Peter Oborne. However this does not happen to those on the right such as Hartley-Brewer, Fox and Farage, not least because their anti-woke etc views fit the narrative of the British right-wing media.
Going back to George Orwell's words (which I have quoted before), one can only assume that, say, Hartley-Brewer's views "fit the prevailing orthodoxy" (which ranges from Starmer to Farage) but Oborne or Galloway's don't. [Post edited 1 Jan 2023 9:39]
