5 hours to kill in Ipswich.... 10:37 - Jan 5 with 5056 views | BanksterDebtSlave | ... while Junior has a Uni interview. So, walking towards the market square just now and a headless pigeon fell from the sky and gave a young woman a glancing blow to the head!! I wonder what other joys the next few hours have in store. This is going to be a looooooooong day.

Good man/woman. I'm on my way. The pigeon thing was fekkin mental. After reassuring the woman that she wasn't splattered in blood I tried to convince her it was probably even luckier than being shat on. She took it all very well.

Pop back in to Town to grab a hotdog, then have a wonder around Christchurch park. Job done.

5 hours to kill in Ipswich.... on 10:53 - Jan 5 with 3389 views | GeoffSentence | Did a day out in Ipswich with WifeSentence a while back, treating it like we would if we went off to a more touristy location. We did the art gallery, museum, walked round Christchurch Park to see if we could spot one of the Tawny Owls that roost in the trees, Christchurch Mansion, Noah's Ark (it's floated off now) , early evening session in Isaacs then a mean at Mariners. Surprisingly decent day out.

Did that when it was nice and old looking. Think it's gone virtual now. Anyone know if the veggie cafe is still open on Museum St?

5 hours to kill in Ipswich.... on 11:00 - Jan 5 with 3290 views | blueasfook | How on earth did a headless pigeon fall from the sky? I am assuming it lost its head in flight somehow? Maybe attacked by an eagle or something? That reminds of the time I was fishing, and I had a run on one of my rods that was kind of weird. it took off briefly then stopped. When I reeled in, i had a small roach on the hook that had been bitten in half. My theory was that the roach got hooked - not strong enough to lift the lead and run off with it but it would have been flapping around. A pike then saw it and took a chunk out of it - which produced the run on the line as the pike tried to bolt off with its prey. Dropped it when it felt the resistance of the line and lead. Hence, how I ended up with a half-eaten roach on the hook.

I suggest eating um on the steps of the town hall while looking up at the majestic Chalkstone Estate. Then once you've had your fill of culture return to Ipswich

Could be a Peregrine Falcon. They have been known to nest on the Orwell Bridge

Sounds like the peregrine falcon population is doing well, that’s great news. There was a pair at Ipswich Hospital and at Martlesham Research thingy. Both had young. Will keep the flying vermin population down.

In another surreal twist...I am now in the climate exhibition part of which is a pledge wall and post it notes. The first one I looked at says, "To eat less curry ( it burns my bum whole ) I mean seriously, all of it??
