Might signal a change in formation? Can't help but feel the current approach is in part determined by the personnel we have available to us, and whether we would be more inclined to go with 2 up top if both Broadhead and Hirst joined. I can't imagine we would spend a million on a bench warmer, and I doubt Hirst is coming here to not be heavily involved either. Would make sense to me, perhaps a switch back to wingbacks, Morsy & Evans in the middle with Chaplin in the hole and 2 up top. Or Luongo, Morsy & Evans as a 3 perhaps. Or more of a 4-4-2.
Either way, it would be so good to have more depth, we've been so lacking it.

On and off the ball we are very good. We use the ball intelligently. There's loads of movement off the ball, players are encouraged to play and express themselves.
We have an identity and style of play that we have not seen at PR for years.
We create plenty of good goal scoring opportunities and defensively we are solid and I love that we play out and build from the back.
We have an issue of conversion at the moment and although over the season so far we have scored plenty...we are wasteful in front of goal at times.
The worry for me is if KM tries to shore us up defensively or alter how we play, we may well create less and right now that will definitely mean fewer goals. As our conversion is a little poor.
So, we change nothing. How we play works...we should not touch that at all.
If we can be more effective taking our chances, we'll be fine. I certainly don't want to see any players come in that don't improve on what we have.
Keep the faith...its working even if the festive period has been poor points wise.

I don't think that's fair. To be fair to him I don't think he's been blessed with quality forward options since he's been here, and has largely favoured getting his best players on the pitch which is hard to argue against. If we had 2 quality forwards I dare say we might look to a system that accommodates both. | |

Perhaps opens us up to the possibility of a 352 but in possession we're so fluid with our movement and positions that the initial set-up doesn't make a huge difference from that point of view.
Broadhead seems like he's got a bit more versatility about him so could play in one of the inside forward roles as we have them now. |  |

Do we trust KM to make the right signing though? All in, he’s not really signed anyone other than Davis who you could point to at this stage and soundly argue it’s worked out well.
Thompson was poor In the final third. Bakinson hit and miss. Leigh has done OK. Ball injured, showed promise and unlucky but. Camara injured and signed with a known injury. Ladapo has done OK but needs to do more. Harness shines occasionally but goes missing all too frequently. Keogh is past it. Ahadme not at the level required yet.

Thompson and Bakinson were decent enough signings on loan.
Leigh solid if unspectacular, but probably cheap.
Ball looked OK but injuries have killed his time here.
Davis obviously excellent.
Ladapo solid enough and 10 goals isn't to be sniffed at, but should be the bench option behind a first choice we failed to sign in the summer.
Harness has done a lot more good than bad, though is prone to a poor game on occasion.
Keogh - meh
Camara and Ahadme smacked of last minute panic after main targets weren't signed (eg Hirst) and almost certainly weren't the players McKenna wanted. Both looking like poor signings at the moment though, no argument there. |  |
