I know some don't like the phrase being used but can we say it over this?

Yes, but someone was mildly delayed getting into work the other day.

Also : yes.

That is utterly shameful. It is like they think as soon as the media attention is away from an issue they will reverse the u-turn the media pressure forced them into knowing the media will not hold them to account.

Yes, we can.

What next? Deepen poverty to the extent that people queue up for a days work if they are lucky, ‘Cinderella Man’/19c dockworkers style?

For those like more than one chum of mine who view the Unions as the cause of all our woes, I suggest they read up on the history of Trade Unions.

The sooner this shower are gone the better.

At least a year to go. Could be nearly two if they stretch it to the full five years.

I enjoyed Sunak the other day asking people to judge him on his record, with apparently no self awareness whatsoever.

Nothing like a bit of sensationalism to whip everybody into an emotive frenzy.

John might want to check his facts.

As we're fact-checking, presumably you have references to tell us why his claim isn't the case?

Interestingly, this is Sunak enacting cancel culture isn't it? Don't like something, then make it illegal rather than look at the root cause and do something about the real problem.

A few months ago on here, I was quite dismissive of strike action by ASLEF and to a lesser extent of RMT. I've worked for 40 years, and never been on strike, and felt that negotiation was the way forwards.
Not any more. This government are just deaf to reason, and reasoned argument. I (as an NHS worker) am now willing to go on strike myself. It is as though we are in a late stage of Animal Farm - this government is walking the people of the UK towards a fascist state. The comment from Franklin D Roosevelt on that Twitter link is chilling, as it resonates so well with modern day United Kingdom. Everyone should be afraid. If you have an accident on your way to work, will an ambulance be coming? Probably not.

This type of response is little more than trolling in my opinion.

It's entirely your job to support your statements, it's not for others to do. Either be prepared to provide evidence or don't make the assertions.

Come on now Stokie, Be Kind.

Rob's clearly quite low on the 'destabilise the West' troll factory hierarchy, otherwise he wouldn't have landed the place as his first gig.

You need to read what you have posted. Many other European countries have removed the right to strike for certain workers. It’s not new, it’s not facism.

The key phrase here is 'this level of anti strike action'.

Which the OP has supported with facts. And you're still not. And it's taken you 3 hours for this feeble comeback.

What is it you like best about the Tories, the corruption, the bigotry, the incompetence or the criminality?

Unfortunately people believe what the media tell them about Union Barons and forget if it wasn't for unions we'd have no paid holiday, no sick pay, etc.
As far as I'm concerned everyone should join a Union. For a small amount of money you can get legal advice on work matters and more! You also help your colleagues and yourself in pay reviews.
Join a Union!
