Is it ok for weekend parking, Friday til Sunday and you just pay on the way out? Anybody know please.

90% sure you can leave the car all weekend, and payment is at a machine outside the station doors, paid when you leave.

Unrelated, as I'll forget to ask tomorrow night, what are your thoughts on bare root hedge plants? I've got a stretch of fence that needs sorting, and seeing as fence panels are eye wateringly expensive, I'm thinking of going the hedge route instead.

That's what I thought but thanks for the reassurance. 2 trips to Leeds in 2 weeks, one with Junior while she checks out uni (sadly Bolton away is off the agenda) and then back up for Barnsley away with my best mate from school (a Leeds fan!)

Bare root is definitely the way to go, just prepare the soil well and add some mucky, bone mealy goodness.

Edit...is there a support act worth seeing tomorrow do you know?

That's reassuring - its a LOT cheaper to buy bare root.

....and takes quicker and grows faster. Just be sure to protect it from muntjac and the likes and keep it watered.

We're going to have a bit of chicken wire behind it (partially buried) as we have a significant rabbit population that needs to be kept out - the previous owners said they have seen deer in the garden too.

There is secure fence all round the garden, apart from a 40ft stretch which is just a mess of scrubby trees and bushes. needs to be fixed if my veg patch is going to have any chance!

Not sure you can still pay using the machines - last couple of times I've parked there I've paid by app on the phone, machines weren't in use.

If anyone knows of anywhere else you can leave a car overnight into the next day, I'd be interested. Station is my go-to option for 2-3 day parking...

Crown Street car park I believe, have left a car in their overnight even though it closes but means it’s secure and think it’s free after 8pm.

There’s a little pikey NCP down from station, £3.25 for 24hrs, all done on the app.

Or find a space down one of the many roads only 5/10mins walk away

Yes, have done it a number of times. Works out about £18 if you park after 4pm on the Friday.
