Nothing surprises me with Johnson. This sort of abuse of privilege in precisely why the honours system and the HoL would go straight in the bin if it was up to me.

Sunak is within his rights to refuse an honours Johnson submits. The man resigned in disgrace. He shouldn’t be allowed to submit a resignations honours list.

Ball in Sunak’s court. I hope he shows the same courage that Starmer did when cutting his predecessor loose.

Top trolling by Johnson all the same.

From what I've seen so far, 'courage' and 'Sunak' aren't words that go together. But maybe he'll surprise us.

The honours system should be the absolute peak of recognition which the state displays for its citizens (not sure whether I’ve explained it rightly). But now it simply seems to serve the mates of politicians or to act as a bribe to people who politicians needs favours from.

The HoL should be scrapped asap.

Johnson is playing a blinder here. Sunak will be snubbing him if he doesn't allow it and remember, the blue rinses didn't want Sunak so he's damned already.
If he does allow it, he's tarred by all right thinking people with the same brush as the rest of the grifters inhabiting high office at the moment.

This is Johnson knowing he can do whatever he likes and he will be supported by the 'Get Brexit Done, isn't his hair funny, what a larf' mob.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

If that is the case, which I don't doubt, why bother to get it so badly wrong yet again ? If they will support him whatever he does then why not get it right for once, irrespective of what they think ?

The bloater has an unerring talent for getting it wrong - hence the regular u-turns. And remember it was his continued support for Pincher the pincher that led to a mass revolt by his own MPs, forcing him out.

That followed 3 record by election defeats, and him polling the lowest favorability ratings of any PM ever, until the lunatic Truss.

He has failed in all the public offices he has held, as well as those outside politics. I don't think he yet fully grasps just how unpopular he is outside of his ever shrinking bubble of confused idiots.

The days of reckoning draw ever near.
