What would your Ideal results be tonight 19:10 - Mar 21 with 1160 viewssmithy69

For me 2 draws would be perfect tonight. I think both Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth will slightly struggle for a bit, and will drop points over the next 4 weeks . The top 4 will get very very tight

We just need to keep winning :)

No, Wednesday are over the hills and far away. Even if they lose tonight and we win all our other games they still need to lost two more. Need to get further ahead of Barnsley.

I don’t think Wednesday are away out of sight to be honest. They are only 3 points ahead - but I know have 2 games in hand

I think there will be so many ups and downs to come that no one is guaranteed anything

Surely Accrington beating Plymouth would be better than a draw.?

Not at all sure they will struggle that much (Plymouth on the road and SheffWed against the better teams are where the vulnerabilities lie), but I agree, draws in those two games would be the optimum results.

But less likely. A draw is nearly as good as a loss for us (as long as we keep winning), having a much better GD.

It would but I can’t see that happening. I should have worded it slightly different :) maybe the best 2 possible results I can see that may actually happen

Plymouth defeat (I can dream), Barnsley defeat.

Wednesday are gone for me, regardless of tonight’s result.

No, even if they’re Two games in hand finished in draws they’d be 5 clear which I think would be a bit much considering the form they’re in.
Hopefully a draw will slow down the Barnsley charge but ideally we really want Accy to beat Plymouth don’t we.
I fear a 2-1 away win though.

Hadn't realised Wednesday were only leading by a point now, albeit have two games in hand. Barnsley are only just behind us on GD in the form table (of last 6 played). Plymouth are now 8th in the form table.

So on balance I'd rather that match ends in a draw - I reckon a total of four points lost between two close rivals is more helpful to us than a total of three points dropped by one of them - though that doesn't include the psychological effects for one of them if they dropped all three, which could be a bit of a 'stopper'. I really wouldn't want Barnsley to win though - makes it all even tighter & more uncomfortable.

Come on Accrington Stanley though - wouldn’t all 3 points for them be lovely, and they’re fighting to avoid the drop now, so you never know!

Wednesday have two wins from eight against top six sides, with Barnsley and Derby left to play. They haven't been to Bristol Rovers yet, which can be a very frustrating place for the better sides. Lincoln have also got results away at promotion-chasing clubs. Plus SW have slipped up facing lower half teams this season.

Draw and an Accrington win for me.

By the way, I can see that the chappie on the right hand side of t'Barnsley badge is a miner, but what is the chappie on the left? A snooker player? A witch?
