Were Cardiff genuinely suggesting the result should've stood? 23:00 - Mar 30 with 2279 views | TheBoyBlue | I do get that it seems to have been badly handled on the day, but how could they expect a result after just 50 minutes to be honoured? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65127551

Were Cardiff genuinely suggesting the result should've stood? on 23:03 - Mar 30 with 2230 views | Oldsmoker | I read somewhere that Cardiff wanted the game to resume. So 2nd half and 10 minutes in and they're 1-0 up. #White peoples problems

Damn right! And if the lads in the away end could have seen what the f**k was going on they might well have done something.

I think Cardiff are very optimistic there! (And no doubt there will be the normal injustice of the goal being erased from the player's career statistics, while any yellow cards will accrue as normal.) But as I pointed out in a long thread on the day after the Oxford game, the league doesn't really seem to know what its rules are here. When Orient v Colchester was 'abandoned' after a pitch invasion, the managers were told by a league official that if they didn't resume the game when the stadium had been cleared, then they'd have to come back a few days later and complete the game (not start again), 'and nobody wants that, do they?'.
Were Cardiff genuinely suggesting the result should've stood? on 15:09 - Mar 31 with 1231 views | BleuBlue | Cardiff didn’t want to pay for a player they’d signed because he died in a plane crash so not really surprising

Were Cardiff genuinely suggesting the result should've stood? on 15:39 - Mar 31 with 1094 views | pointofblue | The game should be picked up at the 50 minute mark, with only those in the match day squad for the previous match made available. Strangely, Rotherham think they might have a few players back for the replay. Not that I’m suggesting that may have come into their thinking when the deluge occurred.

Were Cardiff genuinely suggesting the result should've stood? on 15:42 - Mar 31 with 1063 views | clive_baker | Can't blame them for trying or for asking the question to be fair, especially given the circumstances and the lack of effort they perceived Rotherham to be showing in getting the game on. Think in their shoes I would've tried to make the same case, albeit unlikely to have ever been successful.

Were Cardiff genuinely suggesting the result should've stood? on 21:27 - Mar 31 with 761 views | Nthsuffolkblue | The fairest outcome should be that Cardiff get 1.5 points and they play another 45 minute match. The winner then gets 1.5 points or, if it is a draw they get 0.5 points each.
