Some Town fans never change… toys out of the pram… 17:12 - Apr 10 with 1364 viewsN2_Blue

Sure today is disappointing but look at Cheltenhams home form, factor the weather and really today was anything but an easy game.

Even in isolation it’s not the worst result even but considering we’ve won the 8 games before it and have 25 from 27 I think an off day is forgivable.

But we have a faction of fans who expect us to win every game and if we don’t we’ve bottled it and need someone to blame.

It’s still in our hands, can we just accept today, take the point and move on without blaming players and having a moan and tantrum.

4 points from 6 and considering some other results for the top sides it ain’t been a bad Easter at all.

We have a high number of frankly embarrassing fans . Our first game in 9 where we’ve dropped points and conceded and they suddenly question our abilities as a team.

I hope the fans in attendance gave them a great ovation at the end. The winning run and clean sheet runs were insane. Add in the unbeaten one is ongoing and it's in our hands with just six games to go and it's exciting.

Truly impaired.

I just hate the trips to Peterborough and Barnsley on the horizon. A win today would have given us a slight cushion we now do not have.

I genuinely can't see any posts questioning whether we're a good side? Do you need a lie down?

And if we had won every game this season then the cushion would be even better.

It isn’t. Get on with it.

I think TB are doing their best to prove you wrong mate.
Doesn't strike me as being overly positive.

Awful performance against possibly the worst opponent I've seen all season, they offered absolutely nothing, we could/should have scored 4 or 5 minimum, that was like watching a game during "that spell" earlier in the season.

Walton? WTF!!!! Comically bad attempt to collect that cost us a goal.

Can't think of a player in a blue shirt that came out of that game with much credit, Burns was absolute crap from start to being subbed, as was Harness.

That was our chance to cement top 2 and we f*ucked it.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

We threw it away in my view .

But we go again v a resurgent Charlton. Posh away , Barnsley away …. None of them easy snd frankly are must win games. Which makes todays gift to Cheltenham today all the more gauling. A golden opportunity to really put pressure on those around us and we’ve disappointed.

We still currently have a cushion of superior goal difference and a game in hand over Wednesday.

I’d give up football if I were you. You seem to be unable to cope with the emotions of supporting a team.

Not really looking for an argument mate, but I do feel the need to give you exhibit two.

"We'd have been top of the table, with a game in hand over our closest rival to the auto places, instead we are 2 points behind them in 3rd place, so yeah, at this stage of the season, margins are ultra tight and you just can't afford to be as bad as we were today, it was embarrassing."

I didn't think we were particularly bad and we certainly weren't embarrassing.
Others are clearly entitled to a different opinion, but I would rather keep a different perspective.

Me either, though I'd argue TB is saying we were bad today rather than not a good team overall but perhaps we are at cross purposes.

I think failing to take our chances followed by an error can perhaps unfairly ring alarm bells considering that was the issue more often that not during the inconsistent run. As an aside, I didn't think it we were bad today but it is two dropped rather than one gained.

Yep, full toys out of the pram. Let’s erase the last eight games and nine clean sheets. Easily done. Luck and poor opposition. Let’s focus on those games we should have won and didn’t. Booo!

The Elephant bloke will probably be along soon gassing on about the franchise and blessing us with his laser insight. Though given Norwich’s miserable home draw, maybe not. Perhaps one of the jubilant Bristol City idiots will come on to gloat if they can stop their eyes swivelling long enough to find TWTD.

Hey, I’ve an idea, why not sack McKenna today and go for the ‘new manager bounce’? Mick’s free, Brendan Rodgers anyone? - along with one or two others.

Jeez. We drew away from home in winter conditions having spent two months battering teams, yet it’s still not enough. It’s disappointing we didn’t win, but heck, it happens and it’s not the worst result in the world.

Keep the faith and well done KM and the team for that astonishing run.

Ignore their home form, they were poor. We didn’t play well. When we did keep it simple, we cut through them easy enough but only did that a couple of times. Plus our end ball was poor again, so we rarely looked like scoring from open play. So I can see why people are frustrated. There wasn’t a lot to cheer in that match despite being largely camped in their half all second half.

It happens, we move on. It was Sod’s Law with the weather for this one too - it really was a leveller, as we struggled to adapt to it. It’s a bit like the Oxford match in that regard.

Bolton destroyed Plymouth at Wembley.

We won in their own back yard there 2-0.

Come on lets be honest we should be right up for Barnsley and Peterborough.
