The difficult MOTM-who-isn’t-Chaplin decision 21:59 - Apr 15 with 1097 viewsthebooks

Lots to choose from today. Morsy as ever: completely dominant and pinging it round like Pirlo. Wes Burns incisive. Broadhead’s ability to float past three players. Ladapo scoring twice and getting a Charlton player sent off in a total of about 10 touches.

But Woolfenden for me. Not one foot wrong, covered everything and the full range of passes and runs into midfield. Topped off by flicking the ball over Fraser and collecting it the other side.

Broadhead was my first thought, just for that pass for Chaplin's second goal.

Broadhead, Morsy, Luongo...?
Leif kept Rak Saki quiet with a bit of help, and also pinched a goal..
Pretty hard to pick , imo. Which shows what a well oiled "group" we are...

Morsy for me. Majestic. Can’t be a better midfielder in League One. Thank you Paul Cook. Best thing you did for us.

I think the default answer to that question every single game is Sam Morsy.

Woolf was different gravy yesterday. When he plays like that he's a Rolls Royce of a defender and looks far too good for this level. Morsy and Broadhead were both outstanding too, as was Burns. Just a great all round team performance.

Yes Herbie!

Wolfenden has moments yesterday of just sheer class

When he chipped it over Bonne and went round

Top championship level play

Woolfie loses a point for the deliberate handball, I'm afraid. Morsy for me.

Thought Hirst was superb too, a real handful for their defenders.

Burns had his moments but was wasteful and gave ball away quite a lot. Did also win it back. Broadhead is a real luxury, also a bit wasteful at times but also quality at times. Morsy and lluongo for all round consistency, especially some of lluongos tackling.

For me, right up there in all the matches since he got into the team, a period which roughly coincides with our run, is Luongo.

I think it would be unfair to pick one motm. The whole team were superb.

Morse for me. He’s so assured and brings all the team into the game. Did he put a foot wrong the whole game!! Lugano is perfect partner for him, what a signing.

Woolf hardly needed to get out of first gear so poor we’re the Charlton attackers
