Agree with this. I didn’t think the casting was great and somehow the whole thing didn’t work as well as I thought it might/should.

Thoroughly nice bloke too, went to a talk he did wen he released one of the books and he spoke for about an hour or so, came across really well, and then spent longer signing books and chatting with each person individually afterward.
Much the same though, don't think the series matches up to the books, though its quite watchable and I struggle a bit with the lead. Not watched the film yet. |  |

The book series is incredible, loved all of it... (I'm a huge Cornwell fan anyway, especially Sharpe)
I stopped watching the show after the first series, don't get me wrong, the storylines are great but if you've read the books I think it's a disappointment. Uhtred is a terrible casting, he's too much of a pretty boy... They needed someone tough and gruff and horrid to be uhtred. | | | |

First 4 seasons of Vikings were amazing. Then it all went a bit rubbish.
Black Sails is good fun.
