Transfers in the Championship to date on 20:22 - Jun 21 with 3164 views | the_toff | Early days though, with players still away on holidays etc and unable to have medicals yet. Often find its a bit of a domino effect once a few deals are done and holes and budget opens up.
Transfers in the Championship to date on 20:25 - Jun 21 with 3137 views | Swansea_Blue | Just look through Transfermarkt for last season. Most transfers are frees or loans. Clubs are skint and being kept afloat by owner loans. There’s an element of recovery from the Covid affected seasons, but things weren’t much better before then. The contrast between those with parachute payments and those without is stark. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2

Plymouth seems a strange one. Going to need loads of players.
Transfers in the Championship to date on 20:37 - Jun 21 with 3056 views | Vegtablue | Plymouth have made an interesting signing today, https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65978721 Established Eredivisie player who FC Twente wanted to keep and a product of the big academies. Wonder how wide we're casting our net this summer.

It shows their scouting network is fairly good There's some method to their madness

Transfers in the Championship to date on 23:37 - Jun 21 with 2276 views | Pinewoodblue | Ignoring the three clubs relegated from EPL doubt half of the remainder will actually buy anyone. Instead will rely on free transfers &/ or loans.

Transfers in the Championship to date on 23:42 - Jun 21 with 2256 views | J2BLUE | It's June. Internationals have only just finished so Prem clubs will be using their younger players to add numbers at the start of pre season. I have no doubt less money will be spent overall in the Championship but way too early to see how things will go.

I'm a bit worried about Nodge. Perhaps it's ingrained in my psyche as they have a habit of bouncing back. Their demise last season was a delight, but there's method in their madness of signing old, tried and trusted for the coming fight. Whilst not a regular visitor to the Pinky, I notice that they have generated interest in Omobamidele and should earn a packet which allows them to buy Brazilians. We need to beat them this season, but I hope that they don't appear early on the fixture list as we will need to get our feet under the table first and KM, a quicker learner, might need a period of adjustment.

I think we have to start thinking of them as just another team in our division, apart from the week leading up to a derby match. It is clear where our owners want to take us and ultimately it is beyond them. its true they have a habit of bouncing back but that habit doesn't get them any further than a relegation fight in the PL.

There are not many teams who are capable of avoiding a relegation fight if they get to the Premier League. The concept of yo-yoing is relatively new, and it results from the enormous gap in wealth, pulling power and sheer influence of the big boys. We know who they are and the gap widens. They have their own mini-league. Even Leicester, accredited with breaking the mould were back by millions of Thai baht. Nodge have been cynical in playing the system. Realising their limitations they have seemed happy to scoop up millions in parachutes whilst accepting that their bask in the sun will be brief. Quite frankly, if it were any other club than them, I would be full of admiration. We cannot hate the influence of money in the game without admiring those who succeed on a relative shoestring. Whether or not the pension fund is prepared to fund a serious assault upon the elite we won't yet know, but it will stretch their financial nerve to the full. For now we should concentrate on being a competitive force in the Championship and learn to walk that league before romping through it.
